(Representative image) NEW DELHI: Govt Wednesday approved four railway multi-tracking projects across West Bengal, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, and a highway project in Bihar, worth around Rs 13,041 crore, in its bid to improve connectivity and reduce logistics cost.The four railway lines will add about 410 km to Indian Railways network and are scheduled for completion by 2030-31.Announcing the decisions, I&B and railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said the increased railway line capacity due to these expansions will enhance mobility, resulting in improved operational efficiency as the national transporter will be able to operate more passenger and freight trains.
