Singer-songwriter Robbie Williams, who is best known for hits like ‘Rock DJ’ and ‘Angels,’ recently shared a personal update about his life. During a recent event, the singer candidly shared the update with fans and attendees, revealing that he has been diagnosed with autism. The singer recently issued a public statement, revealing to the world that he has autism. While talking at the Q&A segment of a launch event for his clothing, the singer revealed that he has a “little bit of autism” candidly to the crowd, according to a report shared online by The Daily Mail.Further on during the event, he added that he has been dealing with intrusive thoughts; however, he has taught his brain to be creative as well. The singer has also been quite open about his ADHD diagnosis. Talking about the two things he said, “With the ADHD you can completely and utterly concentrate on something 1000%, but with absolutely everything else, you just cannot do it. Ask my kids.”He further commented, “What I’m completely and utterly obsessed with is creating images and making funny things. If I’m creating images and funny things, I’m not thinking about me, because my brain is incredibly creative, and it can be creative about everything in the world that you panic or [are] scared about.”

How Robbie Williams deals with his intrusive thoughts

The singer also detailed his plight with intrusive thoughts that are quite common for him now and how training his mind to be creative has helped him deal with everything. During the Q&A, he shared that he was recently on a plane travelling somewhere when thoughts of a possible plane crash randomly started floating in his head.Adding more context, he shared, “So that’s the kind of level of insanity that I’m dealing with. It’s best to train my brain to do something better than worrying about having supernatural powers and crashing a plane.”

What is autism?

According to reports shared online by Cleveland Clinic, autism, or autism spectrum disorder, is “a difference in how your child’s brain works that causes them to socialise and behave in unique ways. Early signs of autism include limited eye contact and body language and repetitive motions or speech. Behavioural therapies and other support can help autistic kids (and adults) make the most of their strengths and manage any challenges.” The report further shared, “ASD falls under the umbrella of neurodevelopmental disorders. These are conditions affecting brain function that become noticeable early in life.”Robbie Williams has been quite candid about his diagnosis in the past. The singer also has ADHD and Tourette’s syndrome.
