Formula E is set for a major global streaming push, with Disney+ becoming the global streaming home of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship from the 2026/27 season. Formula E, Disney+ and ESPN announced a multi-year agreement that will see Disney+ stream the championship across 144 territories. In the US, Formula E will be available on Disney+ alongside ESPN+. The deal will begin with the start of the new GEN4 era and is expected to bring Formula E to millions of new households around the world.

Disney+ becomes global streaming home of Formula E from 2026/27 season

Disney+ subscribers across the 144 territories will get live coverage of every Formula E race weekend. This will include every practice session, qualifying session and race.Fans will also have access to preview and review shows, race highlights, analysis, exclusive behind-the-scenes programmes and full race replays on demand after each event.The new streaming deal will work alongside Formula E’s existing free-to-air and linear broadcast partnerships, giving fans more ways to follow the championship.ID@undefined Caption not available.Formula E CEO Jeff Dodds called the agreement a “landmark moment” for the championship.“This is a landmark moment for Formula E and reflects the incredible momentum behind our championship. Disney+ deal comes with the start of GEN4 era

The new electric racing car will have 600kW of power, equivalent to more than 815 horsepower, and will accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in around 1.8 seconds.The new season will also feature an enhanced race weekend format, designed to provide closer racing and more action for fans. The 2026/27 calendar will feature 21 races across 13 cities.
