‘Toxic’ actor Rukmini Vasanth announces next Malayalam film with Nivin Pauly; shares first look at untitled ‘NP51’
As actress Rukmini Vasanth is gearing up for her next cinematic outing with Yash starrer ‘Toxic’, she recently shared an update on her next upcoming project. The actress took to her social media handle to reveal that it is an upcoming Malayalam film with Nivin Pauly.

Rukmini Vasanth took to her Instagram handle to share a picture with the clapboard of her new untitled Malayalam film. The project is currently known as ‘NP51’.The ‘Kantara’ actress will be seen sharing screen space with Malayalam star Nivin Pauly in the film. The movie is backed by filmmaker-producer Martin Prakkat, who is known for films like ‘Charlie’ and ‘Nayattu’.Rukmini shared her happiness about starting the new project. She wrote, “And so it begins (white heart emoji) #NP51. There’s something very special about finding yourself in a place you’ve admired from afar for so long. To now be a small part of it feels like a very special first for me. So grateful for this one (Raising hands emoji) (sic).”Her post also received a reaction from actress Anupama Parameswaran. She commented, “Yayyyyy”, along with a fire emoji.
Nashid to direct ‘NP51’
Speaking of the film, ‘NP51’ will be directed by Nashid. He was one of the writers of the popular Malayalam film ‘Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey’. The makers have not revealed the title or many other details about the film yet.
Rukmini Vasanth’s work front
Meanwhile, Rukmini Vasanth is preparing for the release of ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ which is set to hit the big screen on August 26, 2026. Directed by critically acclaimed director Geetu Mohandas, she stars alongside Yash, Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria and Huma Qureshi in key roles.In addition to ‘Toxic’, Rukmini Vasanth also has another big project in her kitty. She will be seen alongside Jr NTR in ‘Dragon’ directed by ‘KGF’ and ‘Salaar’ fame Prashanth Neel.
