Dhanush expands fan clubs constituency-wise in Coimbatore, reigniting rumours of him entering politics

Dhanush hasn’t come out in the open about entering politics, but his recent activities are now attracting attention outside the film industry. The actor has remained in touch with his fans through welfare activities, and now it appears there is a greater emphasis on strengthening that network. His latest moves have led to fresh discussions about whether he could eventually make a political entry. For now, Dhanush has remained silent on the subject, letting his actions fuel the growing speculation.

Dhanush strengthens fan clubs constituency-wise across Coimbatore

The latest development is the reported decision to strengthen Dhanush’s welfare fan clubs on a constituency-wise basis. The first phase is said to focus on the 10 Assembly constituencies in Coimbatore district. Reportedly, these constituencies have been divided into two groups, with two district-level leaders given responsibility for expanding the organisation and adding new members. The first group includes Coimbatore South, Thondamuthur, Kinathukadavu, Pollachi and Valparai, while the second group covers Coimbatore North, Kavundampalayam, Singanallur, Sulur and Mettupalayam. New teams are expected to be formed in these areas, with membership drives also being intensified. Similar constituency-level work could reportedly be taken up across other parts of Tamil Nadu.

Dhanush’s fan base expansion raises questions

The constituency-wise approach has naturally increased the political buzz around Dhanush. The actor recently met fans at his Poes Garden residence on his birthday, while an earlier remark about his fan gathering having a purpose also attracted attention. However, Dhanush has made no official statement confirming a political party, electoral plans or a timeline for entering politics. His current activities could aim to make his welfare organisation more effective, but the structured expansion has led to comparisons with the early organisational work seen around other actors who later entered politics. Whether Dhanush has a larger political plan remains unclear.

Dhanush’s films keep his cinema career busy

While political speculation continues to follow him, Dhanush remains firmly involved in cinema. The actor will be next seen in ‘Om,’ which is helmed by Rajkumar Periyasamy, and the film is scheduled to hit big screens on October 16. Mammootty, Sai Pallavi, and Sreeleela play key roles, and the film has music composed by Sai Abhyankkar.
