Applicants should be between 21 and 30 years of age as on July 1, 2026. Age relaxation will be applicable for reserved categories according to the prescribed rules.Applicants must also be proficient in reading, writing and speaking the regional language of the state for which they are applying.The application fee is Rs 850 for General, OBC and EWS candidates. No application fee is payable by SC, ST, PwBD and Ex-servicemen candidates.Selected candidates will receive a pay scale of Rs 22,405 to Rs 62,265, with gross monthly emoluments of approximately Rs 63,000 in metropolitan cities.NICL Assistant Recruitment 2026: Selection processThe recruitment process includes a Phase-I Preliminary Online Examination, followed by a Phase-II Main Online Examination. Candidates qualifying these stages will have to appear for a Regional Language Test, which is qualifying in nature.Both online examinations carry negative marking. One-fourth (0.25) of the marks assigned to a question will be deducted for every incorrect answer, while unanswered questions will not attract any penalty.
