After Candace Owens shared the rooftop footage on July 28, Alex Jones reposted it and strongly supported her claims. He argued that the clip appeared to be “raw and unedited” and questioned whether it matched the version of events presented by investigators.Jones wrote:“The Official Charlie Kirk assassination story is now 100% dead! Candace Owens just dropped powerful never before seen surveillance video of the Losee Center rooftop. The video Owens released appears to be raw and unedited! This is the same footage that the court will not let the public see, that we are meant to believe is Tyler Robinson assassinating Charlie Kirk.”He then compared the person seen in the video with Robinson and claimed they did not appear to be the same individual.“The individual does not look like Tyler Robinson. The rifle is never pulled from his pants. The person in the footage has no limp. Nowhere do we see the shooter assembling the gun on the roof as we were told. No recoil is seen. He performs military maneuvers with precision as well as signaling before opening fire. The official narrative just COLLAPSED…”Earlier this month, surveillance footage shown during Robinson’s preliminary hearing appeared to show a man walking across the Utah Valley University campus with what prosecutors described as a limp before the shooting.
What Candace Owens claimed after releasing the Charlie Kirk rooftop footage
Candace Owens has repeatedly questioned whether Tyler Robinson was responsible for Charlie Kirk’s killing. She raised similar doubts in a previous interview with CNN journalist Elle Reeve and repeated those claims during the latest episode of her podcast, where she played the newly released video.While explaining the footage, Owens said the man on the rooftop carried out what she described as a military-style movement.“Now what happens next is exactly as my source stipulated. Now the rooftop guy begins a tactical crawl that is actually known in the military as a lateral crawl. Let’s watch that…I actually want to show you a side-by-side so you can actually see a real military man do that… that general action right there is known as a lateral crawl.”She also pointed to another moment in the clip that she believed deserved attention.“He comes running onto the rooftop. What we know definitively is he gets down into what is known as a lateral military crawl. Begins that crawl over to the right first and then to the left we see a quick flash. We are not sure what that flash is. Um actually this looks like, oh, I’m not going to read into it. There’s that throw forward. I say fold forward. You can say throw forward, but that’s definitely something being flung forward, getting into position.”Authorities have continued to identify Tyler Robinson as the accused in the case. As of now, the court has not decided whether he will face trial.
