Ram Kapoor breaks down in Lock Upp 2, reveals helping his father plan his death; ‘My mother and sister don’t talk to me’
Lock Upp season 2’s latest episode turned out to be an emotional ride after Ram Kapoor made a shocking revelation about his life. The Bade Achhe Lagte Hain actor made a shocking revelation which left the inmates stunned. When the keyword ‘Father’ appeared, Ram made a heartbreaking confession, saying, “I helped my father plan his death.“During the confession, Ram Kapoor shared that his father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer at the age of 63. As the cancer could not be operated on, he underwent 18 chemotherapy sessions, after which the “cancer was almost gone.”. Ram added that his father lived until the age of 73, saying, “he had a good life.” However, the cancer relapsed and while the doctors were hopeful as the treatment had worked well the first time, Ram said things were not the same this time.
Ram Kapoor’s shocking confession
He shared, “I have always challenged my father. My father was a very rich, wealthy man. I wanted to live my life and I separated, became and actor and did not join his company. So my father and me never got along, humare beech humesha chattis ka aakda tha. I always lived my own life, baaki family unke saath thi.”Speaking about that difficult phase, Ram shared that his father’s cancer came back during the COVID-19 pandemic. “He (Ram’s father) was in Singapore, it was COVID time…Unhone Gautami ko phone kiya aur use bola mujhe Ram se baat karni hai. Hum logon ne phone par baat chit shuru ki. Basically, he had decided that he wanted to go, not live anymore. But he was scared to take this step alone. Woh nahi chahte the kisi ko pata chale. For some reason, unko laga unko meri zarurat hai,” he recalled.
Ram Kapoor gets emtoional
Recalling the incident, Ram got emotional, he said, “Unhone point blank mujhe bola,’Can you help me in dying?'” Obviously my reaction was same like anybody else. I’m like ‘What the fu8K are you talking about?’ But, he managed to convince me that main agar nahi krunga to wo akele marenge.”Ram further shared that his father had made him promise not to leave him alone during his final moments. He said his father wanted him to stay by his side in the ICU until the very end. “Ham dono bharti hue andar, kisi ko nahi pata tha that no treatment was happening. My mother, sister, he just wanted me to hold his hand and go. And I had promised him that I’ll do it. I didn’t know, I’ll be strong enough. Somehow unko pata tha that Ram can do and he was scared of being alone. He wasn’t scared of dying, unko sahi laga tha that anyone else would have got to know, they wouldn’t have allowed this to happen.”Ram recalled that his father had also told him not to let anyone cry at his funeral. He added that his father wished to be buried on the same day he passed away. “Somehow I held his hand everyday and allowed him to go. My mother and my sister still don’t talk to me. It’s been more than 5 years. I think it is one of the best things a child can do for his parent because everyone lives like a king, but my father fu*king died like a king.”He ended the conversation talking about the strenght he got after the incident, “Unke wajah se I’ve seen my strenght and unke wajah se I’ve seen death so close.
