ExtraEmily, a Twitch streamer, is getting more backlash because of an incident that occurred during one of her IRL streams, which has gone viral. The streamer almost had an accident on June 28, 2026, when she was driving and talking to her audience. She managed to avoid the crash at the last second, and no one was hurt. Soon after, Emily admitted the incident was her fault and apologized to viewers.

The incident happened around one hour and 25 minutes into Emily’s livestream. As she was making a turn, a Mazda SUV approached from the opposite direction. Emily appeared distracted by her phone and did not seem to notice the other vehicle immediately.Just before the two vehicles could collide, she quickly turned her car away. The other driver also honked the horn, which appeared to alert her in time. Fortunately, both vehicles avoided a crash.Emily addressed the incident right away instead of ignoring it. She admitted she had made a mistake and apologized to everyone watching.“Oh, sorry! My bad! That was my bad. I’ve got to check my… whoopsies!” she said during the stream. She also thanked the other driver for honking, saying it helped prevent a much more serious situation.Emily later explained that she had been using her Tesla’s Autopilot before the incident. According to her, she had just switched the feature off moments before the close call. She added that she normally drives with Autopilot enabled and said they were almost at their destination.

ExtraEmily’s previous distracted driving incident resurfaces after latest livestream scare

The viral clip has also reminded many viewers of a similar incident from last year. In April 2025, Emily faced backlash after another IRL stream appeared to show her running a red light while looking at her phone. That earlier clip spread quickly online and resulted in Twitch suspending her channel the following day. After the suspension, Emily confirmed on Discord that she had received a one-day ban because of distracted driving during her livestream. The latest incident has once again sparked debate across social media. Some people agreed with Emily because she immediately apologized for her mistake, but other people claimed that even if the car is not using Autopilot, livestreaming while driving could still be dangerous.Fortunately, in this recent case, no one was hurt, and there was no damage caused to the car. But once again, the viewer’s attention turned towards road safety issues.
