DU extends registration deadline for CSAS PG admissions 2026

The University of Delhi (DU) has extended the registration deadline for admission to its Postgraduate (PG) programmes for the 2026-27 academic session. Candidates who have not yet applied can now complete their registration through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal by June 9.Eligible students can submit their applications online through the official PG admission portal.Along with the extension of the registration deadline, the university has also announced revised dates for the correction window. Registered candidates will be able to edit or update their application forms from June 10 at 10 am to June 11 till 5 pm.

DU PG Admissions 2026 through CUET PG scores

Delhi University will conduct admissions to its postgraduate programmes through the CSAS portal based on candidates’ performance in the Common University Entrance Test for Postgraduate (CUET PG) 2026.To simplify the admission process, the university has introduced an auto-integration facility through DigiLocker and API Setu. With this feature, details such as a candidate’s name, date of birth, gender, category, parents’ names and CUET PG 2026 scores can be fetched automatically during registration.

New one-year and two-year master’s programmes introduced

In line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, Delhi University has launched both one-year and two-year master’s degree programmes for undergraduate students.Students who are currently studying in the third or fourth year of their undergraduate programme and have appeared for the relevant CUET PG 2026 papers are eligible to apply for the two-year master’s courses.Meanwhile, students pursuing a four-year bachelor’s honours degree with research or entrepreneurship, or those who have completed a four-year bachelor’s degree with a major subject, will be eligible for the one-year postgraduate programmes. The university said that applications for the one-year PG courses will be invited separately through another portal, which will be announced later.

Application fee

Candidates belonging to the General, Other Backward Classes – Non Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL) and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) categories are required to pay an application fee of Rs 250 per programme.For candidates from the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) categories, the application fee is Rs 100 per programme.Applicants are advised to complete the registration process before the revised deadline and carefully review their details during the correction window to avoid any issues during the admission process.Read the official notice here.
