Hayden Panettiere names woman who told her to ‘get into bed’ with famous British singer
Actor Hayden Panettiere has shared further details about an alleged disturbing experience from her early days in the Hollywood film industry, when a woman she counted as a ‘friend’, put her in bed with a man. The actress made waves online when she briefly spoke about the incident on Jay Shettty’s podcast. However, now with the release of her memoir ‘This Is Me: A Reckoning’, she appears to go into further details about the shocking incident.According to excerpts from the memoir, Panettiere alleged that an industry acquaintance named ‘Stella McAmis’ led her to a room aboard a yacht to meet a well-known British singer when she was 18 years old. “He was shirtless and propped up on a few pillows with his arms positioned behind his head,” Panettiere wrote. “From the waist down, he was covered by bedsheets, and I could see the outline of his body underneath.”Panettiere further alleged that McAmis encouraged her to get into bed with the singer. In the book she claims Stella said, “I want you to get into bed with him. He has a huge d***.”The actress said she complied initially and climbed under the covers because she trusted the woman, whom she believed to be a close friend at the time. However, once Stella left the room, Panettiere wrote that after the two were left alone, she stopped the situation from escalating further.Reflecting on the experience, Panettiere said, “I felt like I’d been kicked in the face.” She went on to add, “She’d confided in me, pampered me, and treated me like her best friend – then turned around and treated me like a call girl.
