Manish Chaudhari on awkward first meeting with ‘King’ star
Many actors who have worked with Shah Rukh Khan love talking about how warm and special he made them feel. But actor Manish Chaudhari’s first meeting with SRK is unlike any other story. In a recent interview, Manish shared that his first encounter with the superstar was truly unforgettable, and for a very funny reason. He was completely naked when he first met Shah Rukh. It happened on the sets of Aryan Khan’s show ‘Ba***ds of Bollywood’, on a day when Manish was shooting a scene that required him to have no clothes on.
Manish Chaudhari recalls bumping into Shah Rukh Khan in the most awkward way
Manish didn’t shy away from describing the meeting as “very odd.” Talking to SHOWSHA, he explained how it all happened. “There is a scene in Ba***ds of Bollywood which we shot through the night. It’s in the spa,” he said, calling it the “robeless scene” since his character is naked in it. During the shoot, Manish had to use the bathroom and walked there in his on-screen costume, which was basically nothing. And that is when he bumped into Shah Rukh Khan. “We were shooting that and I had to go to the bathroom and of course, I sort of went to the bathroom in my costume, which was nothing, and there he was, and I was lathered in oil,” he said. Shah Rukh then walked up to him and tried to give him a hug. “So he came like this (to hug), I said, ‘Sir, No. I don’t think you want to do that. He said, ‘Nahi nahi aaja (No no come)'”.

A few days later, when they met again, Shah Rukh brought up their first meeting in the most hilarious way. “The next time we met, which was 3-4 days later, Aryan said, ‘Papa, (meet) Manish’. He said, ‘Haan mile the na. Tab aap nange the. (Yes we met. You were naked then)’. That’s how I met Shah Rukh Khan,” he said, still laughing about it.

In an earlier conversation with NDTV, Manish revealed that the superstar had a sweet nickname for him. “Shah Rukh Sir calls me a ‘nice producer’. I met him a couple of times during the shoot. It was always inspiring to meet him. I was extremely happy to have him close by on two or three occasions on set,” he shared.
