One year professional master’s programmes at IISER Tirupati are open for admissions 2026-2027 under Biological Data Science (BioDS) and Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DS-AI) tracks. The programmes were launched in 2024 and are delivered in online mode for working professionals and graduates across science, technology and allied disciplines aiming at industry relevant skill development and applied learning pathways.The programmes are designed as integrated coursework combining theoretical and applied training with hands-on learning using real datasets. They are positioned for candidates seeking progression into data-driven domains. The institute operates under the Ministry of Education as an Institute of National Importance and provides access to computational facilities, seminars, workshops and interaction with research organisations and industry partners for applied exposure outcomes.Programmes and specialisations offered at IISER TirupatiBiological Data Science (BioDS) focuses on applications in genomics, sequencing companies, pharma, biotechnology, and AI-driven life sciences. Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DS-AI) covers machine learning, data analytics, NLP, and computational problem-solving across industries. Both programmes emphasise hands-on projects using real datasets and interdisciplinary learning approaches designed to make participants industry-ready upon completion, with applied skill development as the central objective. They support career transition into emerging data-driven sectors while strengthening analytical capabilities and technical expertise.Eligibility criteria and admission process detailsApplicants must hold four-year undergraduate degrees in science, technology, computer applications, or architecture, or equivalent qualifications. Postgraduate degree holders in science or technology fields are also eligible. The minimum academic requirement includes 60 per cent aggregate marks or a CGPA of 6.0 out of 10 in undergraduate programmes, or 55 per cent aggregate marks or a CGPA of 5.5 in postgraduate degrees. Applications are open for the 2026-2027 admissions cycle, and candidates from industry and academia are encouraged to apply through the official admissions portal with the required supporting documents.
