PM Narendra Modi pays tribute to Asha Bhosle, deeply saddened by her demise: ‘Will cherish the interactions I’ve had with her’
Asha Bhosle has left a huge void in the industry as the legendary singer passed away at the age of 92 in Mumbai. She reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest and respiratory issues on Saturday night and was rushed to the hospital. On Sunday, her son Anand Bhosle has confirmed that she’s passed away. Several celebs have begun to pour tributes for her as fans mourn her demise. PM Narendra Modi who had also expressed concern when she was hospitalised and wished her a speedy recovery is now deeply saddened by her death. He shared pictures with her and wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “Deeply saddened by the passing of Asha Bhosle Ji, one of the most iconic and versatile voices India has ever known. Her extraordinary musical journey, spanning decades, enriched our cultural heritage and touched countless hearts across the world. Be it her soulful melodies or vibrant compositions, her voice carried timeless brilliance. Sabse versatile artist ke roop mein jinko jaana gaya, aisi Asha tai inka dukhad nidhan hua hai. Bharat ke itihaas mein unhone joh sangeet ki seva ki hai, Mangeshkar Parivar ne joh sangeet ki seva ki hai. Lata did ke roop mein humne sangeet ka pehla tara lupt hote dekha aur ab doosra taara bhi lupt hua hai uska mujhe dukh hai. Apne 90ve janmdin par teen ghanta gaane wali pehli gayika hai. RD Burman ji aur unhone sangeet ko alag zone mein pahunchane ka kaam kiya aur aisi koi bhasha nai hai bharat ki jismein unhone gaane na gaaye ho.
