NEW DELHI: The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has launched a fresh enforcement drive against food business operators, issuing a product recall, suspending a manufacturing licence and prohibiting the sale of a health supplement over serious violations of food safety regulations.In one action, FSSAI ordered M/s Sun Organic Industries Pvt Ltd to immediately recall its Wonderland Raisins after regulatory testing found pesticide residues exceeding the prescribed limits. Samples tested at both the National Food Laboratory, Ghaziabad, and the Referral Laboratory, NIFTEM-K, were declared “unsafe” under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006.
