Soon after the meeting, BJP released a list of its 10 candidates for MLC elections to 16 seats in Maharashtra, a day before the deadline for the filing of nomination. It is rare for BJP CEC members to hold a physical meeting for RS or MLC elections, and there is a view that top party functionaries might have also deliberated over other important political matters, including the impending overhaul in the organisation’s national team of office-bearers.The dispute between the state BJP brass and its two Maharashtra allies, Shiv Sena and NCP, over their share of MLC seats might have also prompted BJP brass to step in.Sena president and deputy CM Eknath Shinde had taken up the matter with Shah as the impasse continued. The 24 RS seats are spread across Andhra Pradesh (4), Gujarat (4), Karnataka (4), Madhya Pradesh (3), Rajasthan (3), Jharkhand (2), and there is one vacancy each in four northeastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya and Mizoram.End of ArticleFollow Us On Social MediaVideos‘It Is Public Anger’: BJP Leaders Slam TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee Over Sonarpur IncidentPoK Youth Crosses LoC To Meet Woman In North Kashmir, Apprehended By ArmyMamata Banerjee To Lead June 2 Kolkata Sit-In Over Alleged Attacks On Abhishek Banerjee, TMC LeadersVP Radhakrishnan Warns Indian Youth May Follow ‘Cockroach’ If Positive News Is Ignored‘INDIA Stands United’: Abhishek Banerjee Thanks Rahul Gandhi For Support After Sonarpur AttackKunal Ghosh Targets TMC Leaders Over Silence On Abhishek Banerjee Attack, Sparks Internal DebateNepal PM Invokes Britain In India Border Row, Says ‘We Have Also Encroached On Indian Areas’Rahul Gandhi Meets CBSE Student Vedant, Mocks ‘Anti-National’ And ‘Deep State Agent’ AllegationsKalyan Banerjee Alleges Assault Near Chanditala Police Station, TMC-BJP Face Off Intensifies In WBLeaked Audio Allegedly Shows Mamata Berating Hospital CEO After Attack On Abhishek Banerjee123PhotostoriesDivyanka Tripathi shares emotional moments from twin boys’ birth; Delivery room glimpses to Harshdeep Kaur singing “Chanda Hai Tu” for the newborns’Stranger Things’ to ‘Game of Thrones’: Series that gained popularity owing to their conspiracy theoriesWhy does postpartum hair fall happen?Causes, treatment, and effective ways to manage it7 powerful reverse psychology tricks that usually work6 types of litchi available in India and how to pick the sweetest one at the market22-year-old influencer dies after dealing with depression and anxiety: 7 things women should do before reaching a breaking pointKriti Sanon is serving flirty luxe with emerald envy in this Rs 67,000 designer mini dress for ‘Cocktail 2′ promotionsArchana Puran Singh’s son Aaryamann gives a glimpse of his new approximately Rs 50 crore house in Madh Island; he shares an important update7 factors making India’s coastal towns real estate investment hotspots5 surprising ways yoga changes your mind and soul (not just your body)123Hot PicksRCB vs GT IPL Final LiveVinesh PhogatMonsoon ForecastHenry Nowak murderFrancisco CerundoloDonald TrumpGold price predictionTop TrendingDK ShivakumarSpursUP CNET Admit CardVinesh PhogatNorway ChessSupreme CourtMumbai Air India ColonyBSEB Bihar Sakashmta Pariksha Admit CardNTANEET Paper Leak

PM Modi (File photo)Advice Comes Amid Govt’s Renewed PushPM Modi (File photo)Advice Comes Amid Govt’s Renewed PushPM Modi (File photo)12 NEW DELHI: Amid government’s big push for next-generation reforms for improving ease of living and ease of doing business, PM Modi has directed all ministries and departments to go back to the intended beneficiaries – citizens and businesses – to assess the impact of policy modifications on their life and work.TOI has learnt that PM Modi while chairing the last council of ministers, told his ministerial colleagues and top bureaucrats not to limit themselves to only initiating and notifying reforms. Cabinet secretary TV Somanathan and secretaries from over half a dozen departments had made presentations on the reforms undertaken by ministries and departments in the past two years.”The message was to see whether the reforms have brought intended results, and the impact can be assessed only after getting feedback from the desired group. The reforms must focus on people and take into account every aspect, rather than being treated merely as an administrative exercise,” said an official who attended the meeting.Officials added that ministries and departments have been asked to deep dive into all the issues during consultation with stakeholders and identify more areas for improvement. “Most big-ticket reforms have been implemented. Now the focus has to be on fixing the nuts and bolts – the process reforms. This has to be driven by each ministry and department concerned,” said a person privy to the deliberations. An official said that ministries now intend to get into a huddle with stakeholders to assess the impact of the steps taken by them over the last few years and also identify new measures that may be required. It’s also learnt departments have been asked to focus on addressing public grievances, including by designating officials to deal with citizens’ complaints. Taking note that govt remains the biggest litigant, the PM has also directed officials to take measures to reduce court cases and arbitrations. “There is a direction to ensure that no new cases come up due to any future regulatory framework. “Every agency must ensure affidavits are filed in time and these are of good quality,” said an official.End of ArticleFollow Us On Social MediaVideos‘It Is Public Anger’: BJP Leaders Slam TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee Over Sonarpur IncidentPoK Youth Crosses LoC To Meet Woman In North Kashmir, Apprehended By ArmyMamata Banerjee To Lead June 2 Kolkata Sit-In Over Alleged Attacks On Abhishek Banerjee, TMC LeadersVP Radhakrishnan Warns Indian Youth May Follow ‘Cockroach’ If Positive News Is Ignored‘INDIA Stands United’: Abhishek Banerjee Thanks Rahul Gandhi For Support After Sonarpur AttackKunal Ghosh Targets TMC Leaders Over Silence On Abhishek Banerjee Attack, Sparks Internal DebateNepal PM Invokes Britain In India Border Row, Says ‘We Have Also Encroached On Indian Areas’Rahul Gandhi Meets CBSE Student Vedant, Mocks ‘Anti-National’ And ‘Deep State Agent’ AllegationsKalyan Banerjee Alleges Assault Near Chanditala Police Station, TMC-BJP Face Off Intensifies In WBLeaked Audio Allegedly Shows Mamata Berating Hospital CEO After Attack On Abhishek Banerjee123PhotostoriesDivyanka Tripathi shares emotional moments from twin boys’ birth; Delivery room glimpses to Harshdeep Kaur singing “Chanda Hai Tu” for the newborns’Stranger Things’ to ‘Game of Thrones’: Series that gained popularity owing to their conspiracy theoriesWhy does postpartum hair fall happen?Causes, treatment, and effective ways to manage it7 powerful reverse psychology tricks that usually work6 types of litchi available in India and how to pick the sweetest one at the market22-year-old influencer dies after dealing with depression and anxiety: 7 things women should do before reaching a breaking pointKriti Sanon is serving flirty luxe with emerald envy in this Rs 67,000 designer mini dress for ‘Cocktail 2′ promotionsArchana Puran Singh’s son Aaryamann gives a glimpse of his new approximately Rs 50 crore house in Madh Island; he shares an important update7 factors making India’s coastal towns real estate investment hotspots5 surprising ways yoga changes your mind and soul (not just your body)123Hot PicksRCB vs GT IPL Final LiveVinesh PhogatMonsoon ForecastHenry Nowak murderFrancisco CerundoloDonald TrumpGold price predictionTop TrendingDK ShivakumarSpursUP CNET Admit CardVinesh PhogatNorway ChessSupreme CourtMumbai Air India ColonyBSEB Bihar Sakashmta Pariksha Admit CardNTANEET Paper Leak
