When there is a disturbance in the region, it directly impacts the supply of oil and gas. Moreover, we’re witnessing supply chain disruptions in other sectors as well. These uncertainties have a direct impact on the economy and global trade. The global scenario is an abnormal situation. What is more worrying is the fact that this abnormality is becoming the new normal,” he said.Israel Iran WarUS-Israel-Iran War Live Updates: ‘Indian navy’s guest struck without warning’: Iran slams US after torpedo sinks warship IRIS Dena50 Israeli jets strike, destroy Iran Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei’s underground military bunker; IDF shares videoRussia helping Iran? Of all the complaints received by the commission’s complaint cell last year domestic violence and dowry harassment alone accounted for over 39% (10,846) of the 27,000 plus complaints registered under various categories of crime against women from across the country till Dec 31.Rahatkar shared that the 500 districts have been selected based on factors such as the number of complaints received and the need to reach remote and hilly areas. From jan sunwais in 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh to Manipur taking the initiative to hold five public hearings reflecting strong engagement by the State Women Commission despite challenging circumstances in the state – the next week will see NCW take the redressal system to the grassroots across regions covering states like Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Kerala, Odisha, Uttarakhand, Tripura and Nagaland.End of ArticleFollow Us On Social MediaVideosRow Over Electoral Roll Revision: Protest Held at Dharmatala in Kolkata’Real Players Are US, Russia, China’: Rahul Gandhi On Iran-Israel War, Warns Of India ImpactNitish Kumar’s Son Nishant To Enter Politics, Will Join JD(U) Soon In Signal Of Big Power ShiftNepal Poll Results: India Watches Closely As Border Dispute And ‘Big Brother’ Charge Loom’Jaishankar Should Respond’: Opposition Leaders Slam Modi Govt Over US Waiver On Russian OilWhy Is Congress Betting on Gaurav Gogoi While BJP Hits Pakistan Links?Health or politics? – NEW DELHI: In a major crackdown on a transnational narcotics syndicate, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has dismantled a sophisticated drug trafficking network stretching from Nepal to Sri Lanka via India. The multi-state operation, executed by the NCB’s Chennai and Hyderabad Zonal Units, resulted in the seizure of 77.60 kg of Hashish Oil and 2 kg of Charas, with a combined street value estimated at approximately Rs. 10 Crore. Five individuals have been arrested in connection with the smuggling ring, including a Sri Lankan refugee, as part of the government’s ongoing “Nasha Mukt Bharat” (Drug-Free India) initiative.Israel Iran WarUS-Israel-Iran War Live Updates: ‘Indian navy’s guest struck without warning’: Iran slams US after torpedo sinks warship IRIS Dena50 Israeli jets strike, destroy Iran Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei’s underground military bunker; IDF shares videoRussia helping Iran? A detailed search of the vehicle revealed 2 kg of Charas hidden within specially fabricated cavities. The two occupants, residents of Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, were immediately taken into custody. Interrogations revealed that the contraband had been smuggled into India from Kathmandu, Nepal, through the Sonauli border. The suspects further confessed that a much larger shipment of Hashish Oil had already been transported to Thoothukudi in Tamil Nadu for maritime delivery to Sri Lanka.Acting swiftly on this intelligence, NCB Chennai tracked down the remaining consignment in Tamil Nadu, seizing nearly 78 kg of Hashish Oil and arresting three more individuals. Investigations uncovered a plan to transport the drugs through coastal waters using a fishing boat for a mid-sea transfer to a Sri Lankan receiver. In a coordinated effort with the Indian Coast Guard, authorities intercepted the suspect fishing boat near the International Maritime Boundary Line, effectively thwarting the cross-border attempt. Along with the boat, officials seized two cars and a motorbike used by the syndicate.Preliminary findings have identified a Sri Lankan national based in Sri Lanka as the kingpin who financed and coordinated the entire logistics chain from Nepal.
