Whereas a multispectral signature tank mock-up is a full-scale, realistic decoy of a battle tank, designed not just to look like a tank in visible light, but to mimic its physical and electromagnetic properties (heat, radar reflection) across various sensor spectrums, allowing soldiers to test and train with advanced camouflage materials to hide tanks from modern threats like thermal, infrared and radar detection.Developing multispectral deception capabilities is the need of the hour as traditional camouflage measures have become less effective in modern warfare. These advanced systems are designed to enhance the Army’s capabilities in camouflage and deception, which are key for survival on modern battlefields where surveillance and sensor technologies are fast advancing. The integration of sophisticated software with a realistic mock-up helps tackle challenges posed by modern detection systems, including thermal imaging, UAV reconnaissance and radar technologies. With the introduction of these technologies, the Army now has the capacity to indulge in concealment methods more effectively, thereby enhancing operational survivability.End of ArticleFollow Us On Social MediaVideosOwaisi Urges Protection of Bangladesh Minorities Ahead of February Polls‘Love Jihad Claim False’: UP Woman Speaks Out After Bajrang Dal Crashes BirthdayUnnao Rape Case: Activists Protest Outside Delhi High Court Over Sengar BailShashi Tharoor Responds To Digvijaya Singh, Says Congress Needs Discipline, Not Lessons From RSSPakistan FM Says Islamabad Will Proactively Rebuild Relations With Bangladesh Post PollsHadi Killing: Dhaka Police Say Main Accused Escaped to India via MeghalayaPakistan FM Ishaq Dar Admits India Hit Nur Khan Air Base In Operation Sindoor Strikes‘Advised Me To Hide In Bunker’: Pak President Zardari On Op Sindoor, Responds To PM Modi’s WarningIndian Army Intensifies Anti-Terror Ops In J&K To Flush Out Pak Terrorists Amid Chillai KalanBJP Hails Shashi Tharoor’s Remarks On India’s Foreign Policy, Congress Hits Back123Photostories5 Bangkok facts you probably didn’t knowTV soaps that went off air in 2025: ‘Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 4’ to ‘Suman Indori’Is foul-smelling poop a symptom of cancer?TV celebrities who passed away in 2025: From Satish Shah to Achyut PotdarBloating vs belly fat: Easy signs that tell the difference and why it matters10 rice dishes from around the worldAntibiotic resistance: Why common infections are getting harder to treatThalapathy Vijay fitness secrets: How simple workouts and balanced food keep him fit at 516 strange and haunting lines from books and classicsFrom hydrogen-powered water taxi to ethereal Ganga aarti: 5 reasons to visit Varanasi123Hot PicksKuwait NYEPAN-Aadhaar linkingJeffrey EpsteinGold rate todayIncome Tax RefundIndian Railways fareBank Holidays DecemberTop TrendingFrank Lampard and Christine Lampard Net WorthJordan Spieth Net WorthJake Paul and Jutta Net WorthBode Miller Net WorthTravis KelceWayne GretzkyPatrick MahomesNavjot Singh SidhuChloe KimNew York Yankees

File photo: PM Modi (Picture credit: ANI) NEW DELHI: PM Modi has asked chief secretaries to ensure Maoism does not relapse in areas freed from the extremist entities, by accelerating saturation of infrastructure works and welfare schemes, report Dipak Dash and Manash Gohain. At a meeting of chief secretaries in Delhi on Saturday and Sunday that he chaired, the PM said the challenge now is to see that those who have joined the mainstream don’t go back to the fold of Maoism, TOI has learned. He stressed the focus must be on all-round development, from roads and water supply to rehab for those who have surrendered, an official said.  Set up ‘deregulation cells’ in offices, PM tells top bureaucratsThe PM asked the top bureaucrats to set up “deregulation cells” in their offices on the lines of the Cabinet Secretariat to accelerate the reforms agenda and improve “ease of living and doing business”. Modi also asked them to replicate the Centre’s model of Pragati in states for review of major infrastructure projects which are delayed. The meeting took note of achievements made in ease of doing business in the past year with five states — Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha and Tripura — completing all 23 reforms. The presentation by the Cabinet Secretariat mentioned that overall progress was over 75%.Officials who were present at the meeting said the PM asked them to focus on development of areas that are now free from Maoist terror. “He said the focus must be on all-round development (Vikas Ganga) in every front — road, water supply, education, healthcare, employment, rehabilitation and security of those who have dropped arms,” said an official. The Telangana govt made a presentation on “post-left wing extremism future”.The PM’s observation gains significance considering that Maoism had found support for lack of basic facilities and Maoists were able to hold on to this by ensuring that development never reached locals and towards that end they bombed schools, other infrastructure and did not allow construction of roads. There have also been acknowledgements from Maoist leaders — who have surrendered as well as those still holding out — of success of govt’s welfare schemes, such as free ration and development activities under the aspirational districts programme, resulting in losing their grip over locals.Officials said on the risk of relapse, the PM was of the view that victories will be complete when those who have come to the mainstream are not entrapped by Maoist propaganda again. Those who have surrendered have cautioned that there may be a relapse for non-fulfillment of promises such as cash reward, personal security, gainful employment and local development areas. The fifth chief secretaries conference on the overarching theme of ‘Human Capital for Viksit Bharat’ saw discussion on early childhood education, schooling, skilling, sports and extracurricular activities.PM asked chief secretaries to ensure that all PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalayas and Eklavya schools get toilet for females by March 8. File photo: Union rural development minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan NEW DELHI: With Congress set to launch a protest against the VB-G RAM G scheme, which replaced the UPA-era MGNREGA, the rural development ministry has sent a detailed report on the new scheme to all central ministers which they can refer to in public meetings to counter the opposition.TOI has learnt that in the cabinet meeting on Wednesday, rural development minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had briefed ministers about the key features of VB-G RAM G and how it’s better than that of previous rural employment guarantee programme. PM Narendra Modi had also asked ministers to be fully conversant with the provisions of the new scheme.Ministers will highlight the increase of guaranteed 125 days employment under the new scheme compared to the provision of earlier 100 days and creation of durable assets beyond a narrow emphasis on wage expenditure. They will also highlight how the scheme will create stronger local livelihood opportunities to help mitigate distress-driven migration. To counter the opposition charge, ministers have been informed that under normative funding, the central govt allocates funds to states based on predefined norms, ensuring predictability, fiscal discipline, and better budgetary planning. In contrast, demand-driven models often lead to uncertain allocations and fiscal misalignment.End of ArticleFollow Us On Social MediaVideosOwaisi Urges Protection of Bangladesh Minorities Ahead of February Polls‘Love Jihad Claim False’: UP Woman Speaks Out After Bajrang Dal Crashes BirthdayUnnao Rape Case: Activists Protest Outside Delhi High Court Over Sengar BailShashi Tharoor Responds To Digvijaya Singh, Says Congress Needs Discipline, Not Lessons From RSSPakistan FM Says Islamabad Will Proactively Rebuild Relations With Bangladesh Post PollsHadi Killing: Dhaka Police Say Main Accused Escaped to India via MeghalayaPakistan FM Ishaq Dar Admits India Hit Nur Khan Air Base In Operation Sindoor Strikes‘Advised Me To Hide In Bunker’: Pak President Zardari On Op Sindoor, Responds To PM Modi’s WarningIndian Army Intensifies Anti-Terror Ops In J&K To Flush Out Pak Terrorists Amid Chillai KalanBJP Hails Shashi Tharoor’s Remarks On India’s Foreign Policy, Congress Hits Back123Photostories5 Bangkok facts you probably didn’t knowTV soaps that went off air in 2025: ‘Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 4’ to ‘Suman Indori’Is foul-smelling poop a symptom of cancer?TV celebrities who passed away in 2025: From Satish Shah to Achyut PotdarBloating vs belly fat: Easy signs that tell the difference and why it matters10 rice dishes from around the worldAntibiotic resistance: Why common infections are getting harder to treatThalapathy Vijay fitness secrets: How simple workouts and balanced food keep him fit at 516 strange and haunting lines from books and classicsFrom hydrogen-powered water taxi to ethereal Ganga aarti: 5 reasons to visit Varanasi123Hot PicksKuwait NYEPAN-Aadhaar linkingJeffrey EpsteinGold rate todayIncome Tax RefundIndian Railways fareBank Holidays DecemberTop TrendingFrank Lampard and Christine Lampard Net WorthJordan Spieth Net WorthJake Paul and Jutta Net WorthBode Miller Net WorthTravis KelceWayne GretzkyPatrick MahomesNavjot Singh SidhuChloe KimNew York Yankees
