He said that work has already begun to set up a cooperative sugar mill in Naraingarh, marking the state’s contribution to this national initiative.Addressing the inaugural ceremonies of the 50th crushing season of the Karnal Cooperative Sugar Mill and the 42nd crushing season of the Shahabad Cooperative Sugar Mill through online mode, Minister Sharma highlighted that Haryana has taken significant steps to support sugarcane farmers. He said chief minister Nayab Singh Saini has announced the highest sugarcane procurement price in the country—Rs 415 per quintal for early varieties and Rs 408 per quintal for late varieties. Sharma said he would soon meet the chief minister along with public representatives to request special incentive schemes for sugarcane farmers. The events were attended by cabinet minister Krishna Kumar Bedi, MP Naveen Jindal, MLA Ramkaran Kala in Shahabad, and Chief Whip and Indri MLA Ramkumar Kashyap, along with Sugar Federation MD Shakti Singh and farmers in Karnal.Sharma emphasised that the cooperative sector will play a crucial role in fulfilling the nation’s development goals. He noted that the Haryana government has ensured timely payment to farmers and introduced an online token system, which has helped farmers save 10–12 hours in transporting cane to the mills. Thanks to last year’s efforts to reconnect former cane growers with the mills, Karnal Mill is expected to crush 3.9 lakh quintals more cane, while Shahabad Mill will receive an additional 2 lakh quintals this season. Both mills continue to win national awards and are progressing with the collective hard work of farmers and staff.Sharma said he would urge the CM to provide subsidised harvesting machinery to ease farmers’ workload and launch new incentive schemes to encourage continuous cane cultivation. He directed mill managements to prioritise farmers’ welfare, “win their hearts,” and ensure they face no difficulties.Reaffirming the government’s commitment, Dr Sharma said that both the Centre and the Haryana government are dedicated to strengthening farmers’ interests. He conveyed CM Saini’s greetings to the farmers and management teams on the commencement of the crushing season.Senior officials, including Shahabad Mill MD Pradeep Ahlawat and Karnal Mill MD Aditi, were also present on the occasion.About the AuthorJaskaran SinghDaily news reporting from the field of agriculture, farmers, crime, health, environment, education, politics, and feature articles from Ambala (with coverage of Kurukshetra & Yamunanagar).Read MoreEnd of ArticleFollow Us On Social MediaVideosIndia Entering ‘Golden Era’ Of Defence Innovation And Self-Reliance: Rajnath Singh‘Until Brahmin Donates His Daughter’: IAS Officer’S Remark Sparks Row, Issues Clarification’A Nation That Never Bows to Terror, Operation Sindoor Shows New India’s Resolve, Says PM ModiChina Rejects Charge of Harassing Indian Woman in Shanghai, But Insists Claim Over Arunachal PradeshMamata Banerjee Warns BJP With Nation-Shaking Threat As SIR Battle Erupts In Bengal Ahead Of PollsAssam CM Calls Zubeen Garg’S Death ‘Plain Murder’, Drops Explosive RevelationDrone Show Pays Homage To Guru Tegh Bahadur In 350th Martyrdom Anniversary Event At Anandpur SahibRed Fort Attack May Derail Benjamin Netanyahu’s India Visit As Israeli Media Flags Safety ConcernsFinland President Warns Global Order Is ‘Unfair’, Urges West To Accept East And India’s Growing Role’Necessary Response At Proper Time’: Taliban Vows Action After 10 Killed In Pak Strikes123PhotostoriesThe most viral MET Gala moments you almost forgot5 electric blue animals that seem to be painted with ocean water10 phrases your child should avoid saying and what to teach them insteadExclusive – Bigg Boss 19: From opening up about her relationship with Kumar Sanu to calling Malti Chahar a ‘lesbian’; Kunickaa Sadanand breaks silence on her journey5 celebrity looks of the day that are setting major fashion goalsMrs. Gump’s most inspiring life lessons from Forrest Gump that still inspire generations8 modern-sounding baby boy names in Sanskrit and their meaningWinter-Friendly Fruits: 8 plants that thrives in cold-weather gardensFrom ‘Dhurandhar’ to ‘Kill Dil’: Moments when Ranveer Singh ruled action on screenLakes, Islands, Gardens: A Visual Journey Through Kolkata’s 480-Acre Eco Tourism Park123Hot PicksDelhi AQI TodayNew Labour CodeCyclone SenyarGold rate todaySilver rate todayPublic Holidays NovemberBank Holidays NovemberTop TrendingEthiopian Volcanic EruptionVaishno Devi College AdmissionsNHL RumorsJoe Thornton Net WorthStem OPT ExtensionMLB Trade RumorsSmriti Mandhana EducationAsha Jadeja MotwaniTyson FuryTrump Gold Card
