NEW DELHI: The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on Saturday inducted 11,729 newly trained constable/GD recruits into its operational fold. This large-scale induction will result in a 8% growth in the overall operational strength of the Force, marking one of the most substantial expansions in recent years, CISF said in a statement.Elaborating on the new inductions, CISF revealed, they passed out from six regional training centres across the country — Barwaha (MP), Deoli & Behror (Rajasthan), Thakkolam (Tamil Nadu), Bhilai (Chattisgarh) and Mundali (Odisa). Of the 11,729 recruits, 1,896 are women personnel. Keeping in view operational priorities and existing vacancies, a majority of them are being posted to airports and DMRC units, where women play an essential role in security screening and passenger handling,” CISF said.“The strengthening comes soon after the ministry of home affairs approved the enhanced ceiling limit of 2.2 lakh personnel for the CISF, enabling the Force to meet rising national security responsibilities. CISF, which provides security to more than 360 vital installations—including airports, seaports, nuclear plants, space facilities, metro networks, steel plants, and units located in high-threat regions—will receive a major operational boost from this augmentation,” the statement said.“The new addition will play a crucial role in addressing manpower needs at several new and high-importance installations recently brought under CISF security cover, such as Jewar Airport, Navi Mumbai Airport, Bhakra Dam, and other critical infrastructure projects. Based on these considerations nearly 90% of the manpower requirements across security sensitive units like J&K and LWE areas, as well as the Airport and DMRC sectors, have been fulfilled through the new postings.”End of ArticleFollow Us On Social MediaVideosEAM Jaishankar, Russian FM Lavrov To Hold Talks In Moscow On Nov 17 Ahead Of Putin’s India TripAir Marshal AK Bharti Reveals Why India Ended Operation Sindoor After Achieving Its Core ObjectiveWTO DG Okonjo-Iweala Lauds India’s Trade Strategy, Calls For Multilateral LeadershipPakistan Rejects Taliban Narrative And Says Rising Terror From Afghan Soil Can No Longer Be IgnoredNDA Sweeps Bihar, Nitish Kumar Prepares for 10th CM Oath; A Look Back at ‘Sushasan Babu’s’ JourneyPiyush Goyal Says India Ready For WTO Leadership, Rejects Reform Agendas Pushed By Developed NationsJ&K Police Confirm 9 Killed in Nowgam Blast After Explosives Recovered From Faridabad Blows UpPM Modi Predicts Major Congress Split After NDA’s Bihar Win And Warns Allies Of Growing Instability‘Bengal Is Far-Fetched…’ Bengal Minister Shashi Panja Hits Back at PM Modi’s Jungle Raj Jibe‘Very Bleak Message To World’: South Africa Envoy Condemns Delhi Blast And Seeks Joint Action123Photostories7 phrases parents can say instead of ‘No’ to kidsExclusive – Bigg Boss 19: Mridul Tiwari reacts to his eviction, calls Farrhana Bhatt ‘toxic’ and ‘evil’, and comments on Amaal Mallik’s image being ‘white-washed’Animal protein vs plant protein: Which is best for meeting the body’s nutritional needs?10 phrases parents should never tell a childHow to grow juicy beetroot in pots for a blooming balcony gardenAkshaye Khanna, Annu Kapoor to Swara Bhasker: How online frauds tricked these Bollywood celebrities out of lakhsHow to rewear your wedding lehenga this wedding seasonThe ideal bedtime routine order for school-age kidsMassive infrastructure push: Ahmedabad to get three lifeline flyovers by 2026Mumbai’s Big Shift: Inside BMC’s Plan for a 1,000-Dog Mulund Shelter123Hot PicksAlinagar Election ResultRaghopur Election ResultBihar Election Result 2025Gold rate todaySilver rate todayPublic Holidays NovemberBank Holidays NovemberTop TrendingLaMelo BallGiannis AntetokounmpoJoel EmbiidAidan HutchinsonNHL Trade RumorLatin GrammyDak PrescottBrazilian Bodybuilder Found DeadPercy HarvinStephen Curry

Al-Falah University (ANI image) NEW DELHI: The Delhi Crime Branch on Saturday registered two FIRs against Al-Falah University over serious allegations of cheating and forgery. A team from the Delhi Crime Branch visited the university’s office in Okhla today. Delhi Police has also issued a notice to the institution, demanding a set of documents as part of their inquiry. The legal action follows serious irregularities flagged by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) during their assessments.According to police, the first FIR involves violations under Section 12 (cheating). The second FIR concerns alleged false accreditation claims made by the university.NAAC on Thursday has also served a show-cause notice to the Al-Falah School of Engineering and Technology, accusing it of claiming accreditation despite failing to complete the mandatory renewal process. The council stated that the university was last accredited in 2013 with a ‘B’ grade but did not submit required documents like the Self-Study Report even after repeated reminders. NAAC has warned that its earlier accreditation may be declared “null and void”.The university is already under intense scrutiny after the Delhi Red Fort blast on November 10, in which 13 people were killed and several others were injured.Investigators have arrested three doctors from Al-Falah’s medical faculty. These include: Dr Muzammil Ganaie, Dr Umar Un Nabi and Dr Shaheen Shahid for their alleged involvement in a terror module linked to banned outfits Jaish-e-Mohammed and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind. Police say the group was trying to target students and medical professionals for radicalisation. Dr Shaheen was allegedly planning to flee to Dubai but was arrested recently after the recovery of weapons and explosives from vehicles traced to the university campus. Over the past week, more individuals linked to them, including two MBBS students have been detained from Nuh.Established in 1997 and run by a charitable trust based in Okhla, Al-Falah University expanded from an engineering college to a 70-acre campus that now includes a medical college and an 800-bed hospital.About the AuthorTOI News DeskThe TOI News Desk comprises a dedicated and tireless team of journalists who operate around the clock to deliver the most current and comprehensive news and updates to the readers of The Times of India worldwide.
