I sincerely hope that my father will maintain this trust and continue the process of development (Vikas),” he added.The NDA delivered a sweeping victory in Bihar, securing 202 seats in the 243-member Assembly and decisively ousting the RJD-led Mahagathbandhan from power. The BJP emerged as the single-largest party with 89 seats, closely followed by the JD(U) with 85, while allies such as the LJP (Ram Vilas), HAM(S), and the Rashtriya Lok Morcha also performed strongly. This marks the second time the NDA has crossed the 200-seat mark, repeating its dominant showing last seen in the 2010 elections. In contrast, the Mahagathbandhan suffered a major setback, winning only 35 seats despite the RJD’s 25-seat contribution. The Congress managed just six seats, while CPI(ML)(L), IIP, and CPI(M) won marginally. Jan Suraaj, which had hoped for a breakthrough after an intensive campaign by founder Prashant Kishor, failed to register a single win. NEW DELHI: Panic gripped passengers aboard the Nizamuddin-bound Shridham Express on Sunday after authorities received an alert suggesting a bomb had been planted in one of the train’s general coaches, according to PTI. The warning, first communicated to railway officials in Bhopal, prompted heightened security measures and multiple checks along the train’s route as it travelled from Jabalpur toward Delhi. The 12192 Jabalpur–Hazrat Nizamuddin Shridham Express was halted at several stations for inspections before reaching Mathura Junction, where a full-scale search operation was launched. Station director NP Singh said teams from the Railway Protection Force (RPF), Government Railway Police (GRP), and a dog squad boarded the train shortly after it arrived at platform number two at 10.02am to scan seats, luggage and other areas of the general coach. Security personnel combed through the compartment for any signs of explosives, but no suspicious item was found during the detailed inspection. Officials said the alert had specifically mentioned the general coach, leading to an intensive check that delayed the train’s schedule. With the threat confirmed as a hoax, the Shridham Express was cleared to resume its journey toward Delhi. The NIA has arrested an associate of the suicide bomber involved in the November 10 car blast in Delhi. This arrest is a major breakthrough in uncovering the larger conspiracy. NEW DELHI: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Sunday said it has arrested an aide of suicide bomber Umer un Nabi who had carried out the Nov 10 car blast, for allegedly facilitating purchase of the car in Delhi and conspiring with the bomber to carry out the terror attack.Amir Rashid Ali, a resident of Samboora, Pampore in J&K and in whose name the car involved in the attack was registered, was arrested from Delhi by the NIA, which had launched a massive search operation after taking over the case from Delhi Police.Delhi Blast: Security Forces Demolish House of Red Fort Bombing Accused Umar Nabi in PulwamaNIA described the arrest as “a major breakthrough” in the Red Fort area car bomb blast case. NIA investigations so far have revealed that accused Amir had come to Delhi to facilitate the purchase of the Hyundai i20 car used in the blast. NIA has forensically established the identity of the deceased driver of the vehicle-borne IED as Umer Un Nabi. Dr Umer hailed from Pulwama district of J&K and was working as an assistant professor in the general medicine department of Al Falah College of Medical Science and Research Centre, while also working for a Jaish terror module purportedly planning major, pan-India terror attacks. The massive recovery of over 2,900 kg of explosives foiled these plans. NIA on Sunday said it has seized another vehicle belonging to Nabi. The vehicle is being examined for evidence in the case.The central anti-terror agency has so far examined 73 witnesses, including those injured in the blast that had rocked the national capital on Nov 10 and claimed a dozen lives. “Working in close coordination with Delhi Police, Jammu & Kashmir Police, Haryana Police, UP Police and various sister agencies, NIA is continuing its investigation across states. The NIA has arrested an associate of the suicide bomber involved in the November 10 car blast in Delhi. Amir Rashid Ali allegedly facilitated the purchase of the explosive-laden car and conspired with the bomber, identified as Dr. Umer un Nabi, an assistant professor with a Jaish terror module. This arrest is a major breakthrough in uncovering the larger conspiracy. NIA investigations so far have revealed that accused Amir had come to Delhi to facilitate the purchase of the Hyundai i20 car used in the blast. NIA has forensically established the identity of the deceased driver of the vehicle-borne IED as Umer Un Nabi. Dr Umer hailed from Pulwama district of J&K and was working as an assistant professor in the general medicine department of Al Falah College of Medical Science and Research Centre, while also working for a Jaish terror module purportedly planning major, pan-India terror attacks. The massive recovery of over 2,900 kg of explosives foiled these plans. NIA on Sunday said it has seized another vehicle belonging to Nabi. The vehicle is being examined for evidence in the case.The central anti-terror agency has so far examined 73 witnesses, including those injured in the blast that had rocked the national capital on Nov 10 and claimed a dozen lives. “Working in close coordination with Delhi Police, Jammu & Kashmir Police, Haryana Police, UP Police and various sister agencies, NIA is continuing its investigation across states. NEW DELHI: Karnataka home minister G Parameshwara on Sunday said there will only be a cabinet reshuffle quashing rumours about a possible leadership change in the state.His remarks came a day after chief minister Siddaramaiah met Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi, sparking fresh talk about impending changes. While reports suggested that the high command had begun considering a reshuffle, Siddaramaiah dismissed those claims, saying there were “no discussions on the reshuffle” and that the meeting focused solely on the Bihar election outcome.Speaking to reporters, Parameshwara said the matter rests entirely with the chief minister and the party leadership. “It is said that the high command has given permission for a reshuffle. Media is saying it and this subject is coming out in the open. Now you can guess what’s happening with regard to the change of guard. Normally, leadership changes do not happen when the Cabinet reshuffle takes place,” he said, as quoted by PTI.He added that several Congress legislators have been pushing for ministerial berths. “Now, after getting permission for a reshuffle, the CM and the high command will do it. There was no discussion about a cabinet reshuffle at all. I will meet the PM on Monday if I get an appointment,” he said.Deputy chief minister D K Shivakumar, who previously said he would “follow” Siddaramaiah’s word amid leadership rumours, distanced himself from Saturday’s meeting. “I don’t know about the CM’s meeting with Rahul Gandhi.
