NEW DELHI: The two-day Bharat Bodhan AI Conclave opened here Thursday, bringing policymakers, academics and industry leaders together to chart how AI can be deployed at scale across India’s education system. The conclave follows a closed-door AI roundtable chaired a day earlier by education minister Dharmendra Pradhan with founders of 10 Indian edtech startups.Pradhan said tech must move beyond expanding access to content and focus on improving learning outcomes. Calling AI a “powerful instrument of empowerment and inclusion”, he said it would be central to achieving vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047 if deployed responsibly.Wednesday’s roundtable at IIT-D brought together policymakers, academics and entrepreneurs to discuss AI use cases aligned with the NE. Startups showcased AI-first solutions across K-12 learning, test preparation, language learning, upskilling and vocational education. Companies included Arivihan, Fermi AI, Seekho, among others.
