New Delhi: A total 1,906 candidates remain in the fray for assembly elections in Assam, Kerala and Puducherry after the last date for withdrawal of nominations expired on Friday. While 722 candidates are fighting across Assam’s 126 seats, 890 are contesting to represent the 140 seats in Kerala assembly. Puducherry has a total 294 candidates in the fray across its 30 seats. A total 4,019 nominations were filed across the three states/UT by 2,511 candidates. While 722 candidates are fighting across Assam’s 126 seats, 890 are contesting to represent the 140 seats in Kerala assembly. Puducherry has a total 294 candidates in the fray across its 30 seats. A total 4,019 nominations were filed across the three states/UT by 2,511 candidates.
