Image: IANS NEW DELHI: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to elect its new national president, with Nitin Nabin, the party’s national working president, expected to file his nomination for the top post at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi on Tuesday.The organisational event, known as Sangathan Parv, is expected to draw chief ministers from BJP-ruled states, state unit chiefs, and senior leaders. The nomination process will be held between 2.00 pm and 4.00 pm, followed by scrutiny from 4.00 pm to 5.00 pm. Under the BJP constitution, a candidate must be jointly proposed by at least 20 members of a state’s electoral college and have at least 15 years of party membership.If the process proceeds as scheduled, the BJP is expected to announce its new national president tomorrow.
