NEW DELHI: Delhi airport on Tuesday issued an advisory to flyers, warning that disruptions in flight operations may persist for some arrivals and departures due to dense fog.In a post on X, Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) urged passengers to check with airlines for real-time updates on flight schedules.“Flight operations are steadily recovering, but disruptions may persist for certain departures and arrivals. Swati Maliwal (Image/PTI) NEW DELHI: Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal on Saturday recalled the alleged assault on her two years ago as she spoke publicly on the issue after joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). But when I tried to file an FIR after being assaulted, I was threatened and intimidated. For the past two years, I have been under constant pressure to take the case back, but I did not bow down,” she said.She further added that her resistance led to her being sidelined within the party.“Because of this, I was not given even a minute by the party in the last two years to present my views in Parliament. This is very shameful. I believe Arvind Kejriwal is extremely anti-women.”Attack on AAP leadership, Punjab governanceMaliwal launched a sharp attack on Kejriwal and the AAP leadership, accusing them of abandoning their founding principles.“They keep accusing us of betrayal. But what is betrayal? Betrayal is when you fail to stand by your core principles. When we started, he spoke ideas that inspired the country. But what change has happened? Only his lifestyle and status have changed,” she said.Targeting the party’s functioning in Punjab, she alleged, “AAP is looting Punjab. They don’t see any capable Punjabi for top positions. NEW DELHI: Sanjay Singh on Saturday launched a sharp attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party, calling it the “Bharatiya Jhootha Party” over its “Sheeshmahal 2” allegations against Arvind Kejriwal and warning of defamation suits against those circulating what he described as fake images.Addressing a press conference in Delhi, the Aam Aadmi Party leader said pictures released by BJP leaders claiming to show Kejriwal’s new residence were false and misleading. That is why Parvesh Verma or any TV channel who publish such fake photos on their channel and tries to defame Kejriwal, I file a case of defamation against them…”Singh also challenged BJP leaders to make their own residences public for comparison.He added, “Truth will come out. Open the LG’s house to the public. Open CM Rekha Gupta’s house to the public. Open Parvesh Verma’s house to the public. And open Arvind Kejriwal’s house to the public. The public should go and see for themselves and decide whose house has become so grand. In this way, by publishing fake photos and spreading fake news, you are still using the same old methods. This is the ‘Bharatiya Jhootha Party’ (Indian Fake Party)… To spread lies, they follow the principles of Hitler’s propagandist, Joseph Goebbels and in the same way, they spread lies…”Singh also reacted strongly to seven Rajya Sabha MPs joining the BJP, calling the development unconstitutional and against parliamentary rules. He alleged that the manner in which the MPs joined the BJP violated constitutional provisions and the anti-defection law.He said, “Yesterday, you saw a non-constitutional, illegal, and against the rules, seven people announced that they will join the BJP. This is completely illegal, and the anti-defection law clearly states that any type of split, breakaway faction, or any type of break within the assembly and parliament cannot be recognised in the Lok Sabha… This has been clearly stated in the 10th Schedule as well… That is why today, I will write to the Rajya Sabha Chairman, Vice President, a letter to revoke the Rajya Sabha membership of all seven Rajya Sabha MPs.”The AAP MP further claimed that BJP was trying to suppress his party’s growth in Gujarat through legal cases and social media restrictions.He said, “The Aam Aadmi Party is continuously expanding in Gujarat; the Aam Aadmi Party is fighting on the ground. The BJP put our MLAs in jail… Just before the municipal elections, they filed fake cases against many of our candidates… and today, the BJP has gotten our Gujarat Facebook and Instagram page suspended. NEW DELHI: Rahul Gandhi on Saturday trained guns at Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh after senior BJP leader Ram Madhav made a controversial remark on India’s oil import.In a social media post on X, Rahul termed RSS as “Rashtriya Surrender Sangh” and said that Ram Madhav revealed “Sangh’s true nature.””Rashtriya Surrender Sangh. Farzi nationalism in Nagpur. Pure servility in USA,” the Congress leader said.”Ram Madhav has only revealed Sangh’s true nature,” he added.This comes after Ram Madhav landed himself in trouble after claiming that India had aligned closely with US interests by halting oil purchases from Iran and Russia, even as these efforts went unrecognised by the Trump administration.During a discussion that included former diplomat Elizabeth Threlkeld and former US Deputy Secretary of State Kurt Campbell, Madhav said “We agreed to a 50 per cent tariff. Agreed means, we did not say anything. We maintained our patience. 50 per cent tariffs we agreed. Today, in the new trade deal also we agreed for 18 per cent tariffs higher than what it used to be. I mean, average tariff.””So, where is India lagging behind in that. What are those issues where India is not doing enough?” Madhav is heard saying in the video during an interactive session at the Hudson Institute.Congress latched on to Madhav’s remarks and said that Narendra Modi has lost his authority to continue as the prime minister.In a post on X, K C Venugopal said, “Clear admission by a senior RSS leader – PM Modi is dancing to Washington’s tunes.””There was once a time when the US’ 7th Fleet was in the Bay of Bengal, and India didn’t budge. And then there is today, where a Compromised PM has handed over India’s sovereignty to the US,” he added.The Congress leader said this is exactly what Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and the entire Opposition has been saying. “India has lost its independent voice on the world stage.”After this surrender, it’s clear that Narendra Modi has lost his authority to continue as Prime Minister,” Venugopal said in his post.Madhav, however, later apologised saying what he said was “wrong as India did not agree to stop import of oil from Russia. “What I said was wrong.
