The actor will begin an intensive prep schedule from June 2026, immediately after completing his commitments on the Bhansali directorial, which also stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.

‘Mahavatar’ is scheduled to begin filming in January 2027, with a year-long shoot planned through December 2027. Reportedly, Vicky is treating ‘Mahavatar’ as a once-in-a-lifetime project.
