VADODRA: Writings by PM Narendra Modi and Hindutva ideologue V D Savarkar have been introduced at Maharaja Sayajirao University (MSU) in a new BA (English) minor course launched under National Education Policy-2020, reports Prashant Rupera.Department of English at MSU’s faculty of arts has added ‘Jyotipunj’ by Modi and ‘Inside the Enemy Camp’ by Savarkar to the new course titled, Analysing and Understanding Non-Fictional Writings on Bharat. The course has been implemented from the current academic year (2025-26). PM Modi Praises Gen Z Confidence, Sees Them Leading Viksit Bharat The syllabus also includes selected writings by Sri Aurobindo and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, texts by Swami Vivekananda, and selected episodes from the PM’s radio address, ‘Mann Ki Baat’.“This syllabus represents a deliberate academic intervention to align English studies with India’s national priorities. It pioneers a confident Indian approach where English is used to study Bharat’s own thinkers, leaders, and ideas, rather than remaining confined to colonial or Eurocentric canons. In that sense, the course operationalises PM’s call for decolonisation of education by embedding Indian intellectual traditions within mainstream university curricula,” said Prof Hitesh D Raviya, head of English department and chairperson of Board of Studies in English Language and Literature at MSU.University officials said the course aims to examine Indian non-fictional writings within the framework of English literary studies.End of ArticleFollow Us On Social MediaVideosOwaisi Urges Protection of Bangladesh Minorities Ahead of February Polls‘Love Jihad Claim False’: UP Woman Speaks Out After Bajrang Dal Crashes BirthdayUnnao Rape Case: Activists Protest Outside Delhi High Court Over Sengar BailShashi Tharoor Responds To Digvijaya Singh, Says Congress Needs Discipline, Not Lessons From RSSPakistan FM Says Islamabad Will Proactively Rebuild Relations With Bangladesh Post PollsHadi Killing: Dhaka Police Say Main Accused Escaped to India via MeghalayaPakistan FM Ishaq Dar Admits India Hit Nur Khan Air Base In Operation Sindoor Strikes‘Advised Me To Hide In Bunker’: Pak President Zardari On Op Sindoor, Responds To PM Modi’s WarningIndian Army Intensifies Anti-Terror Ops In J&K To Flush Out Pak Terrorists Amid Chillai KalanBJP Hails Shashi Tharoor’s Remarks On India’s Foreign Policy, Congress Hits Back123PhotostoriesGadar, Border, Masti; Bollywood sequels that turned one film into sequelsDisturbing facts about common things in your homeHow to use AI to create romantic couple poses and pictures: 5 effective prompts5 Bangkok facts you probably didn’t knowTV soaps that went off air in 2025: ‘Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 4’ to ‘Suman Indori’Is foul-smelling poop a symptom of cancer?TV celebrities who passed away in 2025: From Satish Shah to Achyut PotdarBloating vs belly fat: Easy signs that tell the difference and why it matters10 rice dishes from around the worldAntibiotic resistance: Why common infections are getting harder to treat123Hot PicksKuwait NYEPAN-Aadhaar linkingJeffrey EpsteinGold rate todayIncome Tax RefundIndian Railways fareBank Holidays DecemberTop TrendingMatt Hardy and Reby Sky Net WorthTravis KelcePatrick MahomesRobert Kraft & Gayle Benson Net WorthAjit PawarWayne GretzkyPatrick MahomesNavjot Singh SidhuChloe KimNew York Yankees
