NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday expressed grief over the death of former Bangladesh prime minister and Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, remembering her role in Bangladesh’s development and in strengthening India-Bangladesh relations. “Deeply saddened to learn about the passing away of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia in Dhaka,” PM Modi said in a post on X.
